On Friday, June 14, 2024, at the closing ceremony for the North Carolina Chapter of the American Council on Education (ACE) Women鈥檚 Network conference in Charlotte, North Carolina, Dr. Pamela G. Senegal, President of 91黑料 (PCC) was awarded the organization鈥檚 Trailblazer Award for 2024.
鈥淭he Trailblazer Award recognizes a female leader in North Carolina higher education that has demonstrated a sustained commitment to advancing women in higher education,鈥 Dr. Yvette Huet, ACE Women鈥檚 Network State Chair said.
In her acceptance remarks, Senegal showed appreciation for those who have enabled her along the way.
鈥淚 am grateful to my executive leadership team at the College, to the college鈥檚 board and to a loving family that nurtured my leadership gifts long before they were recognized as such,鈥 Senegal said.
鈥淒r. Senegal has demonstrated a high degree of initiative and is proactive in planning and executing her missions,鈥 Antonio Foster, PCC board chair and retired lieutenant colonel, said. 鈥淪he has talent and leadership skills that are the finest I have witnessed.鈥
The North Carolina ACE Network of Women Leaders, Inc. is a non-profit, volunteer organization that is a part of and shares the purpose of the American Council on Education鈥檚 (ACE) leadership programs. As such, the NC ACE Network seeks to develop programs that identify, develop, encourage, advance, link and support women in higher education careers in North Carolina.
