Since the beginning of the Fall 2024 semester, 91黑料 (PCC) has experienced its highest enrollment in ten years with a 13 percent increase from the Fall 2023 semester.

The growth is based on the college鈥檚 curriculum FTE (Full-Time Equivalent), a funding formula that considers not only headcount but also the number of classes students are taking. Curriculum classes include all that lead to an associate degree, certificate or diploma.

Allied health programs such as Nursing, Medical Assisting and Practical Nursing, which began Spring 2024, have contributed to the enrollment increase. Other programs such as Cosmetology, Human Services Technology and General Education have also seen significant enrollment increases.

鈥淲e are so proud of our growth and grateful to serve our students so they are able to meet their educational and career goals,鈥 Dr. Barbara Buchanan, PCC Vice President of Instruction/Chief Academic Officer (CAO) said. 鈥淲e continually strive to add new courses and programs to meet regional workforce needs.鈥

Along with Practical Nursing, other recently added programs include CDL (Commercial Driver鈥檚 License) and Sonography starting Fall 2025.

鈥淭his incredible growth is thanks to every division of the college,鈥 Dr. Pamela G. Senegal, PCC President said. 鈥淥ur faculty and staff have worked hard promoting classes, supporting students and making this a great place to learn.鈥

Although the fall semester began in August, registration is open for the second round of eight-week classes that start October 16. Workforce short-term training classes start at various times throughout the semester. For more information, visit .
